Fall in love with Bath this Valentines Day

Whether you want to grab a few chilled out days with a loved one, would like to pop the question, or are single and would like to fall in love with the city, Valentines is a very busy time of year, our tip would be to book early and make the most of our Bird, Bath hotel offer and enjoy the free Prosecco and chocolates on arrival.

Would you love some pampering?

Visit the Thermae Spa to enjoy the panoramic views of the city from the open-air rooftop pool. Their steam rooms are closed for this period for refurbishment however any visitors will receive a free entry voucher for a return visit valid Monday to Friday until the end of November = win win!

Finding the perfect spot to pop the big question?

Take your lucky loved-one to Palladium Bridge; this beautiful spot has panoramic views of the city and the perfect location. Or if you want your love to reach dizzying heights, why not book a hot air balloon ride – although if he/she says no, it could be a very awkward trip until you’re back on solid ground!

Alternatively you could arrange for a private visit to the top of the Bath Abbey, plan ahead and they will arrange for a bottle of bubbly to be chilled and waiting for your arrival.

Single and ready to mingle?

Simply fall in love the city and the array of shops and restaurants on offer for you and your friends. Learning more about the city for no cost at all, take part in the free walks with one of the Mayor Bath Honorary Guides or download the Visit Bath free audio tour here too.

Forget the flowers and overpriced meal and enjoy the unromantic supper club at the Hartley Farm Shop with your friends and enjoy a two-course meal, interludes of intellectual stimulation and plenty of wine thrown in!

There seems to be an alcohol trend here however another suggestion is the anti-valentines Gin Making Workshop, the perfect tonic to fend off any Valentines blues!

Valentines Date night?

How very exciting, although one must navigate the dating scene with wit and wisdom! Read a snippet of the Jane Austen’s guide to dating her, you are in Bath after all!

Happy Valentines from The Bird, Bath team!
