Christmas Tavern Manager, The Bird, Bath

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented food and drinks enthusiast to head up a unique Christmas party venue in Bath this festive season.
The Bird, Bath is opening a pop-up Christmas Tavern, which will be a celebration of the best of the season this November and December and we’re on the hunt for a passionate and qualified individual to lead the team.
A destination for party nights for up to 150 guests, as well as for groups and individuals to drop in for drinks, afternoon tea and festive snacks, this is an incredibly hands-on role for the right person to see our 2019 concept through recruitment and training to superlative hosting and day-to-day delivery for a fixed-term contract.
With support from the rest of The Bird team, we want to ensure The Christmas Tavern is the most talked about place in Bath this festive season.
If you’re passionate about leading a service team, have a good understanding and interest in food, wine and cocktails, have a hands-on approach and are eager to put your own innovative stamp on this new festive pop-up, then we’d like to hear from you.
The applicant will have previous experience in a similar role, or be looking to step up from supervisor level, be outgoing, personable, enthusiastic and confident in their ability to lead this busy venue and maintain excellent service standards.
Competitive salary DOE, with a bonus payable on competition of the contract.

As Christmas Tavern Manager you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the daily operations of The Christmas Tavern
- Ensuring consistency, quality and shaping The Christmas Tavern culture and making your mark within our vibrant boutique hotel
- Managing and leading service standards
- Training and development of the team in service standards and product knowledge
- Driving revenues
