The imposing Bath Abbey can be found in the heart of the city, with its magnificent stained-glass windows, columns of fudge-hued stone and some of the finest fan vaulting in the world. The first King of England, King Edgar, was crowned at this site in 973 and the Abbey itself was the work of Sir George Gilbert Scott and took a whole decade to complete.
The Abbey is still a place of worship with services throughout the week and it's a great place to experience the special atmosphere and rich history of this holy and uplifting venue. You can see a 360 tour and also listen to this audio tour.
You'll find more on the archives, cemetery and memorials on the website.
